5 Strokes less the 1st I used it
My pro is not in favour of chippers and has taught me a system using my 7 to wedges depending on distance (a chipper is a "waste of a club!" in his words). I found though that i was getting a lot of mis-hits and inconsistent results. I found the chipper at a golf store, tried it there, and then spent an hour on the practice greens doing chips from various distances. The first time out on my course, I had 6 one putt greens and no three putts. The reason was that the chipper was getting me much closer to the hole and I didn't have any mis-hits. What I like is the short length (same as my putter), the weighted head, long grip and wide sole. All these contribute to a really easy to hit club in area where I've had a lot of trouble. My friends were amazed.

Great around the green, and so much more!
I am just getting back into golf after about 13 years of not playing. My short game was awful, I had lost any touch with a wedge that I use to have. I was just adding strokes to my round and had zero confidence in my chipping. I decided to get the A7OS chipper and could not be happier. I have had a few go in from 20-40 yard range and have had the guys I was golfing with toss my ball back as a gimmie a number of times because I got that close. This has also become my goto club when I get in those off the fairway situations and have to go through trees to get back into the fairway. The ball goes straight and is much more consistent than choking down on an iron.
